1941 Folk Art Project South Kortright Central School
This work of Folk Art was designed and produced by students at South Kortright Central School in 1941, and was displayed at the School Fair on September 26, 1941, according to an article in the Stamford Mirror Recorder the following month. It was donated to the Hobart Historical Society by Bovina auctioneer, Charles McIntosh.
It shows the location of all the one-room schools in the newly-formed S. Kortright Central School district, as well as pictures of native wildlife. It is signed by the students who made it:
